GREATER MANCHESTER HORSE SHOW
Entry fees: Regular Classes $20, Championship Classes $25, Special Classes (see entry blank); NHH&T fee $3.00 per horse. Entries close May 14, 2008. Entries postmarked after May 14th will be considered post entries. There will be a charge of $10 per horse for the first class entered—regular fees thereafter.
ENTRY and STALL FEELS MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRY BLANKS, ABSOLUTELY NO STALLS WILL BE RESERVED UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED. Staff fee is $85.00 for the duration of the snow. NO INITIAL BEDDING WILL BE PROVIDED. Please order your bedding on the entry blank. Deerfield Fair does not permit renting stalls on a daily basis; stalls must be rented for the entire weekend. Our contract with the Deerfield Fair Assn states that stalls will be available on May 22nd at noon and must be vacated by midnight Sunday, May 25th. IF AN EXHIBITOR WISHES TO BRING HORSES AND/OR CAMPERS BEFORE THURSDAY, MAY 22nd, PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE WITH THE HORSE SHOW SUPERINTENTENT, Ron Boucher. Rental fee, if permission is granted, shall be $16 per stall per day. Campers $15 per day.
STALL FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE after the closing date for entries, May 14th. ENTRY FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE ON CLASSES WHICH ARE HELD, unless due to bonafe injury of horse (veterinarians certificate must be presented to the show secretary during the show; no entry fees will be refunded after the conclusion of the show) or Rider in equitation classes (doctor’s certificate must be presented to the show secretary during the show).
Camper hook ups with water and electricity will be available at a charge of $75 for the weekend. A camper is any unit or tent.
No person will be allowed in the ring except the required ones.
No person shall approach a Judge unless he first obtains permission from the Show Steward. The Steward will not permit any exhibitor or person to speak with the Judge until the horse or rider in question has completed its last class of the Show. Any exhibitor disregarding this rule may be asked to cancel all entries and forfeit entry fee.
In all classes open to registered animals only, the proper registered name and number must be listed on the entry blank, and owners must be prepared to produce registration papers.
In classes in which horses compete collectively, the in-gate will be closed 2 minutes after the 1st horse enters the ring or after the last horse has entered the ring.
Entries must be made before the close of the previous session, A class may be cancelled at the beginning of a session due to insufficient entries at the time.
POLICY ON REQUESTS FOR HOLDS: Holds will be granted at the discretion of the manager. They must be requested before the start of each session. Management will try to cooperate with an exhibitor requesting a hold, but will not be respondible if a hold is not honored. If a hold is granted, the in-gate will be held for two minutes, then open for two minutes before the class is closed.
The management reserves the right to return any entry/entrance fee before the opening of the Show without being liable for compensation.
The management reserves the right to vary or change officials or judges, to cancel, combine or divide any class as entries warrant. Management reserves the right to refuse a POST ENTRY in classes where the additional entry would make it necessary to split the class. The exhibitor may elect to be placed on a waiting list to be entered in case of a scratch of a previously entered horse.
Only horses stabled outside of New Hampshire will be required to present proof of current negative Coggins Test within 6 months prior to the show.
Prize money will be awarded in the ring. Management will not be responsible for prize money after the award has been made.
The management is not responsible for errors or omission in the published class list.
The Greater Manchester Horse Show is conducted under the current rules of NEHC. NHH&TA will support the USEF and NEHC and/or any affiliated state organization in any disciplinary action against exhibitors which involve sportsmanship of the good conduct of shows or indebtedness and will extend these actions to all NHH&TA affiliated shows.
All exhibitors in classes requiring an Amateur to ride or Amateur-Owner must have a current Amateur card issued by USEF or NEHC.
Exhibitors are responsible for damage incurred by them or their horse(s) to barns, show ring or other buildings on grounds.
All dogs must be leased at all times.
There is a $50 charge for dogs that are not on a leash.
Absolutely no parking will be permitted between barns, access ways to ring or where posted.
Only licensed drivers will be permitted to drive motorized vehicles.
NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN BARNS
All buildings and areas outside of the horse show area are off limits to horse show exhibitors.
There will be a $25 charge to exhibitors who fail to pay their fees before leaving the show, including exhibitors who have a check on file. There will be a $30 charge for non-negotiable checks.
Hay, grain and bedding will be available on the grounds.
The Deerfield Fair Association, Deerfield Fairgrounds, the Greater Manchester Horse Show Association, Inc., the Horse Show Committee, UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. and all horse show officials, committee members or employees will not be responsible for any accident that may occur to any animal, person or property, and each exhibitor shall hold them harmless and indemnify them against any legal proceedings or liabilities from any such accident or loss of property caused to or by the property or employees of such exhibitor.
